The University of Wolverhampton delivers over £30m of projects to support growth in the West Midlands and is involved in numerous research projects. In addition, the University is developing a number of key regeneration assets in the areas where the University is located (The Black Country, the Marches and Staffordshire) to create centres for excellence and deliver an unbeatable skills pathway for education, training and research.

The Economic Partnerships and Growth Support Team within the central Project Support Office, is responsible for supporting project managers / principal investigators to engage, deliver and remain compliant within projects and partnerships. This includes providing funding and bidding guidance and supporting staff through advice, training and mentoring to secure funding for partnership projects.

You must understand the importance and techniques of bidding for economic and European grants to help others to achieve growth including the value of match funding and leverage to the region and the University. In particular you will be familiar with Local Enterprise Structures, recently published UK Industrial priorities, Growth Deals and current European Structural Funds.
