We are the largest FTSE 100 company in the UK by market capitalisation, and make a significant contribution to the UK economy. As well as processing 35% of the gas coming into the UK, we serve more than four million customers at our filling stations each week. Shell employs some 6,400 skilled staff as well as many contractors.

Job Description

These newly created SAP SD analyst roles offer the chance to join a growing team working in a refreshingly international environment. Such is the breadth of our business, there’s huge scope at Shell to develop and progress your career.

What’s the role?

Working from London, you’ll join a 10-strong global team, whose shrewd business analysis can make an extraordinary difference to Shell’s Downstream business. You’ll cultivate relationships with stakeholders and colleagues working across 35 countries - your role is to understand and capture their commercial requirements and carefully translate them into SAP; you’ll mainly be working on SAP SD Billing and pricing areas.

You’ll be involved at all stages of projects. That starts with working hand in hand with design and delivery leads to make sure we capture the complexity and detail of requirements from a technical design perspective. You’ll also be developing design solutions of your own, resolving production issues, prototyping, running peer reviews and script testing.

What we need from you

We’re keen to hear from men and women with experience on projects with IT/application and data components, working with SAP SD for Sales and Distribution. Ideally SAP certified, you’re conversant with intercompany and rebate processes, Smart forms and IDOCs; SAP pricing and billing experience would be a huge advantage.

You’ve worked with virtual teams, ideally in a similar global environment and shown you have a strong delivery focus: you love to get things done. You work with openness and integrity and you’re a natural influencer: someone who can inspire others even when you’re working globally or across business boundaries.

Beyond that, the more of the following you have, the better:

Natural communication skills in person and in writing; able to communicate benefits, risks and constraints to colleagues and stakeholders

Organised, methodical, and able to multi-task; consistently meets deadlines and keeps customers happy

Exposure to EDGE project methodology

Project management experience; a plus
