Test Lead / Lead Test Analyst / Lancashire / £30-40,000 + benefitsA leading company based in Lancashire are seeking a Test Lead / Lead Test Analyst to join their team.This organisation is a leading retailer with over 1000 stores UK wide. Having achieved substantial growth in 2017 they are now looking to strengthen the software / IT department with a new Test Lead / Lead Test Analyst.The role:As the test lead you'll be reporting to the Test Manager and be responsible for managing a team of test analysts.You will be part of an innovative and creative work environment where you will receive a comprehensive induction, and be supported to carry out your role and to progress within the company.You can play your part in an organisation which offers opportunity for promotion, access to management and leadership roles, and a supportive and friendly working environment. Responsibilities:

'€¢Reporting to the Test Manager'€¢Providing input towards overall strategy / approach in the department'€¢Devising Test Policies, Test Objectives, Test Strategy and Test Plans.'€¢Arranging POS Builds and Releases'€¢First point of contract for Offshore Test Analysts'€¢Design, develop, execute and maintain test cases covering all aspects of the software.'€¢Work in close partnership with software developers to improve product quality.'€¢Provide supporting documentation in accordance with the software development processes and codes of practice.

Skills and Experiences:

'€¢Manual or Automated Testing'€¢Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies'€¢ISEB / ISTQB certification'€¢Experience managing small teams.'€¢SQL knowledge / understanding desirable.'€¢Experience with commercial testing tools.'€¢Experience with test management tools and defect tracking tools.'€¢Knowledge of SQL'€¢Knowledge of Linux / Unix skills
