Planning Engineer - "Front End" Construction

Central London

£46,000 - £54,000 per annum

A mid-sized construction management firm currently has a requirement for a Planning Engineer to work on various high profile and somewhat complicated developments in London. Their current project portfolio is impressive and includes several five star hotels, listed building refurbishment, £100m+ commercial and mixed use developments, etc, all within Central London.

Our client is seeking an individual who has good knowledge of the "front end" of construction developments, i.e. sound knowledge of planning stages, procurement, contractor appointment, etc. Much of their work is at pre-construction stage and they would rather help develop an individual in planning who already has strong project knowledge, rather than the other way round.This is a great opportunity to work closely with several extremely experienced Senior Planners, who have worked on some of the UK's most impressive construction developments and to gain involvement on an extremely interesting and varied portfolio of schemes across London.

Ideally the successful candidate will have the following experience:

- Construction-related background with good understanding of "front end" of projects, i.e. planning stages, procurement, get contractor, etc.

- Previous exposure to planning, particularly using Asta Powerproject software.

- Relevant construction/engineering degree.

- Personable individual with strong stakeholder management skills.

- Eligible to work in the UK.
