IT Support Engineer

High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire 

£25,000 Plus Training, 23 Days’ Holiday

As a leading technology provider, our client uses the latest technologies to manage and maintain their customers’ IT systems. Operating at the forefront of their industry, they work very closely with a range of schools and colleges, and are now looking to recruit an IT Support Engineer who will be site based at an independent school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and proactive IT support professional to further develop their skills within a growing, supportive and dynamic IT company. 

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving all user support issues, as well as administration of the school’s network and IT systems.

To be considered for this role, you should have experience of supporting and administering some of the following technologies:

- Microsoft Server 2012r2, Server 2016

- Active Directory and Group Policies

- Windows 7 and 10, Microsoft Office 2013 / 2016 and Office 365

- Wired and Wireless Networks

- VMware

Most importantly, as an IT Support Engineer, it is essential that you are a clear and logical thinker with a quality approach to customer service. You should also be a good communicator, ensuring that the teaching and support staff at the school are kept up-to-date with the progress of issue resolution. 

Any additional qualifications will definitely be beneficial to your application.

The successful candidate will be provided with additional ongoing training.

Please note, as this position is based within a school, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate must also live within a commutable distance of High Wycombe, where the school is based, or be willing to relocate.
