Role

We're looking for someone to work with the Director of Communications to support the strategic delivery of work and effective evaluation and measurement of activity.

Responsibilities

* Lead on the Directorate planning, performance and risk reporting processes.

* Be responsible for the oversight and delivery of the Communications Strategy and own the Directorate's key processes and systems, for continuous process improvement.

* Be accountable for the successful delivery of strategy, driving best practice across TPR in terms of staff engagement, but also being an effective advocate for communications around the business.

* Review and manage the Directorate budget and assess performance against KPIs, following up to ensure the correct outcomes are achieved.

* Act as the first point of contact for the Director, handling queries to ensure that priorities are met in a timely and efficient manner.

* Anticipate requirements of the Director, proactively providing additional information and advice on relevant issues as they arise.

Essential and desirable criteria

Essential

* Evidence of strong programme management, situational analysis and decision making abilities.

* Demonstrated success business planning and with project management tools.

* Political awareness, with gravitas and ability to influence at all levels.

* Demonstrable experience of successfully prioritising and managing high profile stakeholder expectations.

* The ability to work across functions and teams at all levels and to foster momentum and cohesion around common goals with key stakeholders.

* Have demonstrable experience in setting priorities, goals, objectives and timescales, including planning ahead, reassessing workloads and priorities as required.

* Ability to lead and challenge a team with awareness of key leadership attributes.

Desirable

* Understanding of the complexities within the pensions industry.
