The successful Vehicle Telematics Project Manager is required to plan and manage the implementation of vehicle telematics into the organisation. This will involve working with the chosen supplier and a range of stakeholders to ensure that all necessary activity is carried out in order for vehicle telematics to be successfully installed and operational by the agreed project timescales.

In support of the implementation of vehicle telematics, the Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the following:

-Produce, update and maintain a project plan for the delivery and implementation of vehicle telematics during defined project timescales.

-Monitor delivery against the project plan and take action to ensure that delivery is kept on track. This includes the identification, management and escalation (if appropriate) of any relevant issues or risks, which are likely to have an impact on delivery, outside of agreed tolerances.

-Maintain project governance documents, such as, for example, the project dashboard, risk registers, weekly highlight report etc, as specified by the organisation during the project timescales.

-Oversee all delivery aspects of the project, which include but are not limited to:

*Communication plan to ensure users/stakeholders are aware of telematics, are engaged and have concerns understood and addressed/responded to;

*Installation of devices into all in scope vehicles, in an appropriately secure and cost effective manner;

*Successful set up of software with correct organisational hierarchies;

*All users being able to access and use telematics and its software;

*Ensuring that full requirement, as set out within tender, is delivered by supplier;

*Ensure that delivery is quality assured and reporting mechanisms are in place to update Senior Business lead on progress against milestones.

Communication to include:

*Engage with internal customers to ensure their needs are taken into account as part of rolling out telematics;

*Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all enabling activity takes place.

Provide coordination and secretariat for monthly Project Governance meetings as specified by the organisation.

Ensure that financial reporting is in place, in line with the organisation requirements to ensure that budget and expenditure are monitored and managed.
