My client are recruiting for a Business Analyst with an MIS/BI background to be based in Birmingham on an initial 3 month contract opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS

*Work within our teams focused on core System developments and implementations, web solution development for customers or insurance product implementations

*Help clients understand the options and possibilities for how they can use the highly configurable and complex Mastek System

*Design and implement top quality new software solutions

*Solve challenging technical problems using a structured and logical approach

*Gather client requirements and turn these into detailed, unambiguous and accurate specifications

*Manage the build of sometimes complex implementations, and ensure this is done to specification

*Continuously monitor and improve all aspects of the Mastek System

*An ability to decipher business requirements and develop technical development specifications

*Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile project environment

*Technically proficient in JAVA and SQL. Must be able to read JAVA/SQL to reverse engineer existing systems/solutions

*A track record of delivering on project tasks and an ability to carry tasks through to completion

*An ability to work in teams and learn quickly

*A demonstrated interest in and experience of using IT and software

*The role is largely client focused where an ability to build relationships with customers and strong communication skills are essential

*Confident and eager to take responsibility

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 18 weeks.
