We have a wonderful opportunity to join a highly respected and very busy housing developer. Our client is working on a high value, and prestigious developments all over London, that includes a multitude of high rise residential buildings, and private housing estates. They have a very strong order book, and a great reputation, both for the projects they deliver and the investment they put into training and developing their staff.

We are seeking an experienced and capable Planner to lead and manage the planning function on large residential projects, and you'll work very closely with the Management team to deliver current and future projects on time, and to budget.

It is imperative that you are a very capable and experienced Planner. You will be the only Planner on a project, so you'll have to be self-sufficient, reliable and trustworthy. Ideally you will have a deep understanding of the construction process, and maybe you'll have started your career in the building sector as an Engineer or Site or Project Manager, so you'll understand the various challenges during a project at the different stages.

Recommended or necessary skills and experience is as follows;

Live Project Programme Support

* Production of integrated project programmes - design, procurement and construction - in conjunction with Project Manager/Project Director and Technical/Commercial teams

* Production of project short medium and target programmes as required

* Weekly review and dropline reporting of progress on site - site visits as required by the PD/PM

* Production of sequence/logistics/craneage/hoist plans - interaction with Plant suppliers, Technical team and Temporary works engineer

* Production of PEP ( planning/logistics/sequence elements)

* Sales interaction - sales rates programmes to integrate with plot completions/CMLs etc

New Bids

* Production project programmes - Pre-construction/Planning and construction - in conjunction with Project Manager/Project Director and Technical

* Production of sequence/logistics/craneage/hoist plans - interaction with Plant suppliers

* Production of PEP ( planning/logistics/sequence elements) to meet bid stage requirements

* Sales interaction - sales rates programmes to integrate with plot completions/CMLs etc

* Preliminaries Monitor for cost plan purposes - agreement of project resource

Experience

* Have Developed metrics from basic drawing information for use in planning library

* Familiar in providing baseline, procurement, target build programme, medium range versions etc

* had experience all types of housebuilding i.e. low, medium and high rise developments work

Knowledge

* Technical proficient in Asta with recognised training certification including: Introduction to Asta Power Project , Managing Costs and Resources with Asta Powerproject, Progress Analysis and S-curve Reporting with Asta Powerproject or similar

* Able to use a document management system

* Able to provide programme reports

* Able to produce Gantt Charts. Logic Networks, PERT Charts, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

* Be familiar with RIBA stages of design and construction

Current role

* Likely to be currently working as a lead or senior planner a large main contractor in the last 7-10 years

* Leading a small team of planners

Remuneration

Depending of experience we can pay up to £75,000, plus a very good benefits package.
