Industrial / Product Design Engineer

A challenging opportunity for a talented Industrial Designer with an excellent academic background, outstanding graphical abilities (hand sketching & 3D CAD) and with demonstrable experience of designing within a Healthcare, Consumer, FMCG or Consultancy environment.

You’ll have an outstanding design portfolio, evidencing your creative and innovative qualities as well as having a natural aptitude for aesthetic form.

Working closely with a team of engineers, researchers and technologists, the successful Product Design Engineer will get involved with designing products across a diversity of sectors, whilst having a good awareness of cost, functionality and manufacturing implications.

With an excellent academic background to include a minimum of a 2.1 (or higher degree) in Product Design, Industrial Design or a similar discipline, the ideal candidate will be comfortable with hands-on modelling, general workshop model-making and with rapid prototyping technologies.

Key Requirements:

                     Exceptional hand sketching.

                     Graphical design with Adobe CS.

                     3D CAD using SolidWorks and/or Alias.

                     Proven industrial / product / packaging design experience.

                     Hands-on modelling.

                     Rapid Prototyping.

                     Keen interest in new technology and product design.

                     Excellent communication and presentation skills.

A portfolio will be required.
