My client are looking for a Security Cleared Technology Architect to work on a large scale transformation programme.

The post holder will deliver standard architecture artefacts as defined in the BIZBOK / TOGAF ADM / EASE Methodologies as agreed with the Deputy Director Enterprise Design Authority for each architecture assignment. These will be documented in Request for Architecture Work and accepted through formal review.

Skills transfer plan

The skills and knowledge transfer will occur in a number of ways:

* By teaming the less experienced department members with those with more experience in delivering the tasks within the department.

* Through more formal team oriented presentations and workshops covering different aspects of architecture.

* By ensuring that architectural input to different projects is appropriately documented including rationale and by this documentation being freely available to the wider team.

Essential

The individual must have the following knowledge and skills:

* Significant and broad experience in the creation, delivery, and governance of enterprise business architectures within a fast paced, regulated, and technically dependent environment.

* Significant and broad experience in the creation, delivery, and governance of enterprise information architectures within a fast paced, regulated, information centric and technically dependent environment.

* Strong leadership and engagement skills including relationship building, communication, stakeholder management and influencing.

* Proven leadership experience of architecture and complex design.

* Familiarity with working in a Civil Service environment.

* Experience in the use of a major business architecture methodology (eg BIZBOK or similar).

* Membership of the BCS/IEE or an equivalent.

* Certification and at least 5 years' experience as TOGAF Practitioner.

Desirable

It is desirable that they also possess:

* Experience of business architecture within Law Enforcement or SIA.

* Experience of information architecture within Law Enforcement or SIA.

* Previous involvement, in a leadership or prominent capacity, in a successful enterprise transformation initiative.

* Exposure to data analytics and big data techniques and technologies.

* Good understanding of master and reference data management, and data quality

* Experience as an EASE Higher Practitioner.

* Experience in the use of BIZBOK or similar.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
