Software Tester / Test Analyst / Newcastle / £35-42,000 + BenefitsMy client is a well established financial services organisation. Having achieved substantial growth in 2017 they are now looking to strengthen the software/ IT department with a new software tester / test analyst.The role:As the software tester you will be ensuring that applications and products are delivered to the highest quality, further to that you will be responsible for writing and executing test scripts for various internal and external projectsYou will be part of an innovative and creative work environment where you will receive a comprehensive induction, and be supported to carry out your role and to progress within the company.You can play your part in an organisation which offers opportunity for promotion, access to management and leadership roles, and a supportive and friendly working environment. Responsibilities:

'€¢Writing and executing manual and automated tests'€¢Production of all test scenarios and scripts.'€¢Participate in the task of devising Test Objectives, Test Policies, the Test Strategy and Test Plans.  '€¢Confirm traceability of Test Cases and Test Scenarios'€¢Design, develop, execute and maintain test cases covering all aspects of the software.'€¢Work in close partnership with software developers to improve product quality.'€¢Provide supporting documentation in accordance with the software development processes and codes of practice.

Skills and Experiences:

'€¢Manual or Automated Testing'€¢Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies'€¢ISEB / ISTQB certification'€¢Experience managing small teams.'€¢SQL knowledge / understanding desirable.'€¢Non-functional testing experience.'€¢Experience of SOAP and REST based APIs.'€¢Experience with commercial testing tools.'€¢Experience with test management tools and defect tracking tools.'€¢Previous technical and software testing experience. '€¢Are able to work under your own guidance.'€¢And have excellent communication and decision-making skills.'€¢BDD / TDD / Cucumber'€¢POSTMAN / SOAP UI'€¢C# / Java
