.Net Developer - Contract

Nigel Frank are currently looking for an experienced software engineer to work on a large scale project for a Marketing and Advertising company based in Manchester.

We are looking for someone to join existing members of the team who consist designers, Developers, testers and a database team.

You will need excellent communication skills. You will thrive, you will think differently, you will challenge convention and have the freedom to act with integrity, intention and speed; you will be at the forefront of developing capabilities in support of our clients business model; you will deliver results!

The successful candidate will be familiar with frameworks that support highly available, scalable and asynchronous applications along with service oriented concepts e.g. RESTful APIs and Service busses.

Key Responsibilities (.NET Developer)

* Design and develop complex responsive applications using a range of languages and tools.

In particular, .NET (C#), ASP.NET MVC, LINQ, Web API, SignalR, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, RequireJS, knockoutJS or AngularJS, WPF, Reactive Programming / Rx

* Develop rigorous automated tests that cover all features via end-to-end integration tests,

performance tests, acceptance tests and unit tests.

* Knowledge of Agile and associated development techniques including;

Iterative Development,

Refactoring,

Unit Testing,

Automated Builds & Deployment of Software solutions,

Continuous Integration and Delivery,

Acceptance Test Driven Development,

Knowledge of formal testing and deployment methods from conception through to go-live

(system, regression, and UAT testing)

* Experience developing applications using

TDD, ATDD or BDD, e.g. NUnit, MS Test or Specflow.

* Experience in designing and developing relational databases.
