Main duties of the position

Basic Objective: Performing activities associated with integration, test, system verification and customer acceptance phases of the system development lifecycle

Key Responsibilities:

* Apply test skills and experience within the context of integration, test, and verification of customer requirements

* Act as test & integration lead for small/medium programmes or subsystems within larger programmes

* Defining test environment and tool requirements for assigned test cases

* Produce test & deployment strategies and plans in compliance with customer project guidelines

* Support estimation of test activities

* Support test team interactions with the wider system engineering and development teams and assist in the resolution of issues

* Support the development team at formal and artefact reviews as necessary

* Provide defect and code quality metrics to the programme

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills

* Understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, and demonstrable application of relevant Test methodologies and toolsets

* Requirement verification and validation for software based systems

* Test specification development

* Test script preparation, checkout, and formal execution

Desirable Skills

* Experience of Continuous Integration

Typical Experience

We are looking for test & integration engineers, with professional experience. Experience of software testing and integration in a military or Government project background would be an advantage, but is not essential. A broad knowledge of Information Security "best practice" would also be useful.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 18 weeks.
