Digital Project Manager / Product Manager

£50,000 + Profit share+ Excellent Bens (up to £70,000 package)

We are looking for a Digital Project Manager/Product Manager to work as part of a team based within our client who are a firm of Consultant Engineers with a worldwide reputation.

As the Digital Project Manager/Product Manager you will join a growing BIM Design Technology team.

The successful Digital Project Manager/Product Manager will be a self-starter and team player who wants to help drive improvements.

The digital Project Manager/Product Manager will have a background in Digital products that drive the delivery of products which support efficiency, innovation or excellence in the design/engineering arena. You will be the bridge between end users, and the software development team, and as such you will need to be plain speaking with an open style of management.

As part of the role you will be required work with a distributed software delivery team located in Australia, India and the UK.

You would be working with users in all global regions.

Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

                                         Managing an existing internal product suite based around BIM software and design tools

                                         Managing the delivery of other small internal products or projects.

                                         Assessing new products (internal and external)

                                         Developing product plans, roadmaps and comparisons.

                                         Collecting initial user requirements and refining with the development team.

                                         Managing multiple product backlogs to ensure the development team understand the priorities and objectives.

                                         Working with the team to communicate and manage updates and rollouts.

                                         Managing the retirement of products where necessary.

To be successful, you will need to be comfortable with:

                                         Engaging with end users in order to understand their needs.

This includes face-to-face engagement and working with remote users.

                                         Prioritising the competing needs of different stakeholder groups

                                         Collaborating with the technical team to deliver products of value, in a timely manner

                                         Reasonable autonomy

                                         Managing the day to day workload, and priorities.

                                         Promoting the products you manage across the company.

Requirements and skills

Essentials about you:

                                         Experience as a project or product manager in IT / digital.

(preferably with agile development teams, working as a Scrum-master/Product Owner)

                                         Experienced with project/product management tools and techniques such as Jira, VSTS, Story Maps, Kanban boards.

                                         Experience with organising and running user engagement session such as workshops.

                                         Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing. Ability to express technical concepts to non-technical people

                                         Strong sense of user empathy, ownership, and drive to deliver.
