Network Security Designer

Our client are currently looking for an experienced Network Security Designer to work on an initial 3 month contract at their site in either Sheffield OR Edinburgh.

Applicants must have the following skills:

Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity across range of I.T. services

Experience understanding of campus and data centre networks

Core Routing switch across IOS / NXOS ( CCNA, CCNP)

Security ( Checkpoint, Cisco , Sourcefire)

Basic understanding of Compute, Storage, Load balancers, Vmware etc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

Reporting to manager on process

Documenting low level design using Microsoft Office suite

Creating migration scripts (NX-OS, ASA, IOS)

Working with wider team in support and build

Keeping to timescales and updating project tracking

Project areas:

-IPSEC VPN Migrations

-BGP routing over IP clear

-Firewall policy conversion

-BAU enterprise Data Centre changes
