My client is a global household name in electronic components and consumer electronics who is looking for a Web Platform Architect to work within various Open Source communities on Web platform technologies such as JavaScript.

The Role:

* Work in different Open Source projects and communities on JavaScript & Web technology

* Develop, architect and contribute into software projects

* Participating in technical committees and work groups

* Provide advice/project proposals to senior management on industry trends

Key Requirements:

Experience of;

* Web & JavaScript development and architecture

* Web development & Open Source software landscapes

* Engaging directly with Open Source communities and internal customers to facilitate development of OSS projects and utilisation of these projects in the product lifecycle

* Open Source development e.g. Git

* JavaScript, Node.Js, NodeRed, JerryScript

Beneficial (not essential):

Experience of;

* Open Source communities and/or Web & JavaScript standards groups

* Web & Open Source development workflows, processes & tools

* Writing or blogging about personal work

* Projects under the JavaScript Foundation
