Application Support Analyst / Trade Desk Support Engineer (SQL Sophis Scripting Excel VBA). International Investment Bank is seeking a skilled Trade Desk Support Engineer / Application Support Analyst with a broad range of technical knowledge.

As an Application Support Analyst / Trade Desk Support Engineer you will support Front Office users (traders, analysts) in their daily activities within the asset management space. Responsibilities will include acting as the focal point for managing user enquires on business applications; working with vendors and development teams to deploy, maintain and configure custom applications and build new environments; train users; write and maintain user documentation; design and develop scripts to automate processes and install patches and updates, determining the impact on business applications.

Requirements:

*Experience in supporting a Pricing, Risk/PNL, Trade Capture, electronic trading platforms directly for a Trading desk within an Asset Manager or Hedge Fund

*Experience of troubleshooting within a Windows desktop / server environment

*Strong scripting skills (Powershell, Python or Perl)

*Good Excel / VBA skills

*Familiar with networking, WAN / LAN troubleshooting

*Confident communicator

*Able to work 0730 to 1630
