Design Engineer

£15- 22 per hour (Umbrella or Ltd)

40 hours a week (9:00am to 5:30pm Monday- Friday)

Coventry, Warwickshire- commutable by Redditch, Warwick, Banbury, Daventry, Birmingham

Contract- 3 month minimum with potential to be extended

Are you an immediately available Designer with experience in Commercial Workplace Design looking to join a leading company on a contract to see you well into the New Year?

My Client are an award winning company, who specialise in Interior Design of commercial premises and to an ever increasing order book, are recruiting an experienced Design Engineer with commercial understanding and good knowledge of building regulation standards to design bespoke furniture and joinery.

As a Design Engineer within the company, you will be required to liaise with contractors and suppliers, accompany senior designers to client meetings, translate plans into working drawings and be able to apply technical construction knowledge to creatively plan commercial space and illustrate conceptual thinking.

The Ideal candidate will have experience with a number of the following; AutoCAD, Vector Works, 3D Sketch up, In-Design, NBS, Office Suite, Photoshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer work for a leading company on a long term contract role with excellent rates of pay and future progression opportunities.

The Role:

- Design and detailing of bespoke furniture and joinery within commercial environments

- Dealing with complete project cycle from pitch, brief through to construction.

- Translate conceptual planning into working drawings

The Person:

- Experience using software including AutoCAD, Photoshop, In-Design etc

- Creative individual with a good commercial understanding

- Able to creatively plan space with application of technical knowledge.
