Role: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Edinburgh

Duration: 4 Month Contract

My Large client has a contract opportunity available for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their skilled IT Team for a 4 month contract based in Edinburgh. You will be responsible for the Implementing, administering and optimising of production, test & development web infrastructure for each of the company's systems. You will implement monitoring for the infrastructure and systems to ensure early detection of events including unusual activity, reduced capacity or system failure. Ideally you will have the following skillset -

*Significant senior professional experience of web infrastructure as well as the operation and support of high traffic commodity services, web applications and platforms.

*Proficient in deploying, administering, securing and optimising a web application system architecture including:

oWeb servers, web accelerators and reverse proxy caches

oLinux operating system

oJava web applications

oRelational, Document and Graph based database servers

*Familiarity with web systems architecture, deployment & operation within both traditional data centres as well as was cloud environments.
