Contract PHP Laravel Developer - London - £400-500 per day

I am currently running a search for a contract PHP developer to work for a late stage start-up who have recently received a large amount of funding to take their product to the next level. In this role you will be one of the more senior developers contributing code to the main product line within a team of around 16 techies who are split across development, infra and QA.

In this position you will be required to work on the PHP back end of this booking application. The product is still in its early stages, so you will have the ability to impact change and bring ideas. They want a contractor who wants to be a consultant and push the product forward. Not just a developer who is going to complete tasks handed to them. If you have worked in a start-up environment where you have suggested enhancements and different ways to do things that would be ideal but not a must have.

For this role you will need to have at least 5 years solid hands on experience with PHP. Ideally experience with PHP 7.x but 5.x is a must have. You must also have experience of Laravel developer and be able to show examples of sites you have built. As with all PHP roles you will be expected to work with other tech such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery etc.

Key points

Over 5 years' experience with developing in PHP 5.x minimum and PHP 7.x a bonus

At least 2 years' experience with Laravel development

Strong exposure to unit/BDD testing experience

Excellent SQL skills

HTML,CSS, Javascript (Bootstrap and Compas) , jQuery, AJAX

Good knowledge of GIT version control

Any experience of REST API would be great

Knowledge of Linux

Exposure to working in a start-up where you must be a consultant
