I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client- they are searching for a API Automation QA Analyst, to support there Senior QA Manager and the company's technical teams.

It is essential that you will have skills in API Automation testing using SOAP and REST.

You will be capable of taking ownership of defects throughout the lifecycle as well, as evaluating the testing requirements.

The client is looking to create a consistent approach to API testing and write automation tests for the API services.

Key technical skills and experience include-:

UI Automation: Selenium WD, Cucumber

API's: REST, SOAP

Concepts: REST, AJAX, JSON, TDD, BDD, Pair programming, Agile

Language: Ruby

Framework: Rspec

Build: Rake task

Version Control: Git with Stash

CI: Jenkins

Key personal skills and competencies:

Strong analytic, diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Assertive, high energy, self-motivated with strong team spirit

Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as ability to work effectively as a team member

Excellent writing, communication and time management skills

Ability to work equally well with both technical and non-technical personnel
