Award winning, market leading Software Company based in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure and Security Team Leader to join their growing IT team.

The IT Infrastructure and Security Team Leader will be joining a well established IT team offering guidance and support to ensure the on-going performance and availability of the client's internal network. You will manage the daily work load defined & driven by the business, projects and daily task supported by the IT Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

*Managing systems, servers and network components together with telecoms used to deliver internet-based 24/7 service.

*Resolve problems reported by end users for LAN & WAN networks, desktops, networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls etc.)

*Monitor and measure the performance of the network; reporting problems to appropriate individuals or teams

*Understand the need for good documentation, control and system procedures.

*Lead and motivate team members, providing technical guidance and setting challenging objectives.

*Encourage an innovative culture that embraces change and experimentation while appreciating the need to provide a resilient service for our customers.

Key skills and experience required:

*Demonstrable industry experienced working in a similar role, including experience of working with high-availability systems.

*Network management and performance analysis.

*Solid background and understanding of IT Security concepts and principles' including security, vulnerability and penetration testing.

*High level of attention to detail with a methodical, patient approach.

*Expert understanding of Microsoft on-premise products including; Windows Server, SQL Server, and Exchange and also cloud based offerings including Office 365 and Azure.

*Knowledge of one or more Scripting Languages

*Previous experience managing or leading a small team is essential.

*Knowledge of VMware Virtualisation and Cisco routing and switching is also desirable.
