Through research, standards and analysis, RSSB supports the rail industry in driving improvements in health and wellbeing and delivering a safer, more efficient and sustainable rail system. Within RSSB, the Digital team is responsible for developing the digital strategy, driving digital engagement and overseeing the transformation of RSSB’s digital assets.
The team is now seeking a dynamic Digital Content Analyst to help us take the next step in supporting RSSB’s technical specialists to deliver high quality digital content to the UK rail industry.
What you’ll be doing
Support RSSB’s technical specialists to implement best practice for authoring within a structured XML environment to deliver Railway Group Standards and Rule Book. Develop and maintain training materials to support technical authoring and utilisation of RSSB’s component content management system (CCMS).
Capture and manage issues relating to structured content development and CCMS environment, including publishing pipelines to web, print and mobile platforms. Work with technical specialists and suppliers to capture proposed enhancements to the authoring process and associated technologies to plan and implement agreed changes. Assisting with our wider digital engagement activities, including content development and development of RSSB’s external facing digital estate
What we’re looking for
Experience and knowledge of structured authoring environments to develop and publish content to multiple formats and channels. A willingness to mentor and assist technical authors in making the best use of structured authoring techniques to meet end user needs. Experience of creating and publishing standards or similar materials within the rail industry or related sectors. Experience using XML development environments such as Oxygen and XMetal. Good analytical and planning skills to support ongoing development of processes and systems. A willingness to learn about RSSB, our members and our industry.
