Senior BI Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £53,000 plus bonus and benefits

We are seeking a hands on leader with proven ability to execute on key business strategies through the development of a strong business intelligence team while working in close collaboration with Technology (Database), Games Studio, Product, Commercial and Finance teams.

The Senior BI Manager will have responsibility, along with Database engineers, to extract, organize and model critical database elements. Working with the cross-functional leadership team this role will translate business needs and requirements into automated insights, tools and reporting to inform effective decision making and strategies. The Senior BI manager will be expected to be a 'doer' and ultimately will be tasked with establishing a team supporting the business with a key emphasis on building success through data by working with critical stakeholders from Games Studio, Commercial & Finance.

Key responsibilities will include areas such as developing analytical suites, tools, dashboards and reports that identify clear business trends while delivering business insights to key stakeholders. The role holder will be immersed in the everyday working realms of the key stakeholders and at all times consideration and consultation with such stakeholders is of key importance to success.

This is a newly created team with scope to shape the way we do things. There is plenty of work ready and waiting, so we're in need of someone who is able to hit the ground running who can take lead and isn't afraid to get stuck in. The role will sit within the Operations Division based either in our Bristol or Manchester office. This is a pivotal role within the department and offers great career prospects.

Key Responsibilities

* Elevate, simplify, and drive data, reporting and analytical capabilities beyond what exists today

* Streamline consistent ways of translating advanced business analytics into actionable strategies and insights cross-functionally to support key stakeholders

* Partner with cross-functional leaders within the core key stakeholder divisions to understand the business fundamentals to help achieve overall business KPI's and performance accelerators

* Responsible for building a strong, hands on team whilst remaining a key contributor to all aspects of the role

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

* Solid commercial awareness and business acumen as well as the ability to perceive understand and interpret requirements from internal and external parties and delivering output that is fit for purpose

* Experience of working with large volumes of transactional data and using Business Intelligence tools to convert data into actionable insight (e.g. Cognos, Tableau, Business Objects, Oracle, SSRS, SPSS Modeller etc.)

* Ability to identify priorities from a significant potential workload and to manage stakeholder expectations positively and effectively

* Ability to build advanced analytical and reporting capabilities by utilizing macros, coding, and any other advanced technical processes

* Solid understanding of cross-functional business related interactions, with primary focus on Games Studios, Commercial & Finance

* Clear understanding of data flow and information, with ability to identify clear areas of reporting and analytical needs to help accelerate performance throughout the business

* Deep understanding of data within their domain (master data, data facts, KPI's, etc.) including

* Strong relational and dimensional data modelling and information classification

* Deep knowledge in designing & developing data flows
