Data Protection Officer
Leeds city centre
£40,000 - £50,000 + benefits
Spring Technology are seeking a Data Protection Officer to join our market leading client based in Leeds city centre.
The main purpose of this role is to provide support to head office functions and advisers, ensuring compliance with the Data Protection act and lasts GDPR. You will work closely with many teams on improving their performance, audit, management and assessment of risk and communications related to data protection. You will support senior manager's n assessing risk and monitoring compliance.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
*Demonstrable experience with DPA Compliance
*Proven GDPR awareness
*Experience creating policies and procedures
*Proven experience of Information Security within a financial services environment
*Good understanding of financial services and industry challenges
*Ability to deal with confidential and/or sensitive issues and information
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
*Ability to juggle conflicting demands and effectively prioritise
*Organised in approach to work
*Responsible and discreet
It would be beneficial to possesses one of more of the following certifications:
*EU General Data Protection Regulation Practitioner (GDPR-P)
*EC-Council Information Security Manager (EISM)
*Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
*Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
*Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
*Certified in ISO 27001
