Information Systems and Services (ISS) is an integrated organisation looking across the whole information continuum of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), from the business to the battle-space. ISS defines information strategy, policy and architecture for the whole of Defence, considering how to meet our future requirements for information systems (both military and corporate) and then managing the delivery of projects and the supply chain. ISS currently has around 2,300 staff and controls an operating budget of more than £2bn a year with projects under development in excess of £10bn.

ISS is undergoing a programme of significant change to transform the way Defence designs, develops and operates information systems and capabilities now and in the future. The Head of Delivery and Acquisitions, Security Infrastructure is a high-profile role responsible for a portfolio of programmes, projects and services that deliver cyber resilience and service management capabilities. The portfolio includes cryptographic devices and cryptographic key distribution systems together with a range of defensive cyber and service management services. It has in-year spend of c£200m, and leadership responsibility for over 100 military, civilian and contract staff. A key part of this role is managing collaborative relationships with our stakeholders across the unique cyber and crypto community.

You are already operating at a senior level, and have a proven track record of successful delivery of a portfolio of ICT acquisition projects and programmes in a large and complex operating environment, ideally focused on information security and/or cyber resilience. You will have experience of leading and developing large, multi-disciplinary and geographically dispersed teams, proven ability to influence a wide range of senior stakeholders, strong financial and commercial acumen, and a relentless focus on driving change and continuous improvement.
