Senior UNIX Engineer

My Glasgow based client are currently looking to add an experienced UNIX Engineer to their team in Glasgow City Centre. This role will be heavily focused on UNIX within a cloud environment however Linux knowledge is also seen as beneficial.

What will the role involve?

The position will focus largely on the administration of Enterprise Level Cloud environments (Both private and public) with additional focus on monitoring tools and scripting.

You will provide expertise within client focused solutions and will engage heavily with external clients to offer resolution to the most senior of escalations as well as developing new solutions.

What experience do I require?

You will have demonstrable knowledge in UNIX (all flavours considered) and ideally, Linux. In addition to this you will have strong scripting knowledge in either Bash, Python or Perl and well as knowledge of monitoring tools like Zabbix and Nagios.
