A thriving organisation in Birmingham are looking for a Java Developer to join their team. If you can display a solid understanding of software engineering disciplines, processes and methodologies, then you could be the Java Developer that we're looking for.

What will you be doing?

As a Java Developer, you'll be working on the development of the Optimisation Modeller product and will display meticulous attention to detail when authoring and documenting the associated code base. You'll contribute to 2nd/3rd level support for clients as well as internal teams and will collaborate with QA engineers in order to deliver a high quality product.

What skills/experience should you have?

- BSc in Computer Science/Software Engineering or a similar discipline

- Significant Java software development experience

- Track record of working on the development of web interfaces (JavaScript/AJAX frameworks, Web Services/REST/XML/JSON for a commercial software product)

Although not an essential requirement for the role, if you can demonstrate knowledge of Agile development methodologies, this may help you to stand out from the crowd.
