Trade compliance management is an interesting beast don't you think? Well, if you don't you're probably reading the wrong job advert aren't you, so if trade compliance is not a joyously complex and intriguingly challenging profession to you, probably best you leave. Go on, get out!

Okay, so now it's just me and you, you talented wonder of analytically minded, trade compliance genius. So what I'm not going to do is bore you with the day to day aspects of undertaking a Trade Compliance Manager job, and I'm going to talk to you about some of the potential challenges that lie ahead, and tell you a little about the business you are going to be joining.

You are going to be managing a small team of people who perhaps only part time responsibility for export control, this could mean that you will have to influence people who don't have this as a primary part of the role. That's definitely going to take some character! So you will undoubtedly be an expert influencer as well as a trade compliance whiz. But your influence doesn't end internally, oh no, that would be far too straight forward! You will be interfacing with the industries relevant trade body in Europe, as well as with 3rd party representatives and providers of trade compliance services, aaaaaaand the usual interactions with the relevant customs representatives in a variety of locations across Europe, Asia, the US and even Israel. This may require some travel on your part as you can imagine! My client has also expressed that knowledge of SAP could be beneficial, but that would definitely fall into the 'bonus' category, rather than a requirement.

The company you will be joining are a bit of a tech giant, with a global presence (you probably figured that bit out already) and take pride in the fact they are helping to change the world with what they do. They innovate on a daily basis, and require your technical skills to ensure getting their products into the various markets they operate within goes without a hitch! Their products are inherently complex, and this only adds to the regulatory challenges they face. As the Trade Compliance Manager EMEA, you're going to make of this feel very easy for them indeed.

So if you're a Trade Compliance Manager with EMEA experience, strong influencing skills, and the hunger to be the best at what you do, click apply now! Once you're finished, come and say hi on LinkedIn with a connection request, to get a first look at similar roles I'm recruiting. Search Sean Figura and I'm right there!
