Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum + Pension + 34 days' annual leave (includes Bank Holidays and Company Days)

Our client is the UK Governing Body for gymnastics. They exist to support, lead and inspire all those involved or interested in gymnastics; from the creation of new programmes and activities at grass roots level in the community, to the development of talent producing international gymnasts.

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to support the IT Manager to deliver IT solutions and development projects for websites, web applications and systems; to improve the functionality and provide support to current applications and systems.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

* Working on a project-by-project basis, developing IT solutions across a range of systems and applications, including public facing systems such as the Client's website, online shop, e-learning system and member's portal; mobile apps for iOS and Android; and internal systems such as CRM database, the intranet, eBIS accounting system etc.

* Working on browser technologies and server side framework development; developing platforms; integrating systems, web and mobile platforms; building, configuring and testing in line with project requirements; ensuring that systems are tightly integrated with the core CRM system; manipulating databases through stored procedures and web service technologies etc.

* Liaising with colleagues from across the business for input into data architecture, data security, styling, branding, content etc.

* Creating prototypes and templates, working with colleagues and user groups for testing, monitoring/reflecting on user experiences and modifying where appropriate

* Creating and maintaining operations manuals for all systems and application developments, ensuring code is fully documented and version controlled

* Supporting on-going functionality improvements and support evolving design, development and use of web applications and systems, scoping the new functionality, developing back-end and front-end programming, testing and integrating into the operational system

* Supporting company-wide software including maintenance and testing regimes and responding to allocated helpdesk tickets.

The Candidate:

The ideal individual will have/be able to demonstrate an active interest in current web site, web application and systems development and good working knowledge of a range of current IT software maintenance and development skills (acquired through formal qualifications and experience of maintaining and developing web based systems), including:

* Programming languages (PHP, ASP, JavaScript, Jquery, Ajax, CSS, SQL and C#DotNet)

* Scripting and coding languages (HTML5 and CSS)

* Extending content management systems

* Use of web services (SOAP and XML) and current web standards (W3C standards).

* Use of version control systems (Git).

They also require good interpersonal/customer service skills and organisational skills for the successful delivery of project based work.

Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:

This role requires the holder to have an active interest in current web site, web application and systems development and good working knowledge of a range of current IT software maintenance and development skills (acquired through formal qualifications and experience of maintaining and developing web based systems), including: programming languages (PHP, ASP, JavaScript, Jquery, Ajax, CSS, SQL and C#DotNet); scripting and coding languages (HTML5 and CSS); extending content management systems; use of web services (SOAP and XML); and current web standards (W3C standards).
