3rd Line Support / Infrastructure Engineer

Due to high demand, this company is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a good background in security and networking. You will assist in leading the support team on a permanent basis. This role will be a combination of providing both day to day support to their well-established clients, as well as working on a number of high-profile projects.

They require an Infrastructure Engineer with good technical experience who is a good communicator and can handle high pressurised situations.

Key Experience:

- Demonstrate a solid level of knowledge in Microsoft technology. In particular Windows Server 2016, Exchange Server and Hyper V virtualisation

- Excellent communication ability

- Experienced troubleshooter and problem solver

- Extensive knowledge in network design, VPN technology and routing, with DNS and DHCP

- Excellent understanding of NAT and firewall administration. Any knowledge of Barracuda and Draytek products would be advantageous

- Excellent knowledge of 3CX phone systems and voip very desirable

- Knowledge of ISO27001 and GDPR would be very advantageous

- At least 5 years experience in a similar role

Key Responsibilities:

- You will be helping to lead a dedicated team of analysts within a busy and well-established IT company

- You will be expected to provide innovative solutions to problems as they arise and effectively deal with escalations promptly

- The existing team is efficient and friendly, and it deals with all kinds of support issues generated by the client-base. You will be expected to maintain this and keep them running smooth

- You will need to thrive on multi-tasking

- You will be given responsibility for your own projects where you will be expected to manage every technical aspect whilst maintaining constant liaison with the client and senior management

- You will help to develop longstanding relationships with all clients whilst using your core skills and technical ability
