Equities Application Support

A reputable Investment Bank is looking for permanent front office Equities Application Support Specialists to support business critical trading applications. These applications are built on a UNIX platform and you will be based on the heart of the trading floor in Canary Wharf.

The Equities is a leading franchise within the Investment Bank, and you will be vital in ensuring the availability and efficiency of the applications.

This is an exciting role where you will find no two days the same. You will be a problem-solver, analytical in approach and personable in style. A successful Equities Application Support will thrive in the fast-paced atmosphere. You will have the ability to read and respond to FIX tags, write queries in SQL and run UNIX commands. You will have ideally had some exposure to scripting, perhaps in Perl, Python or Bash.

The ideal Equities Application Support Specialist will have the ability to respond quickly to incidents in a clear and concise manner. You will be able to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
