AS400 Analyst/Programmer

I wanted to get in touch as my client (leading retailer) is currently looking for a AS400 Programmer/Analyst to start ASAP, initially for a 3 month contract.

Role:

* You will be providing a key role in the implementation, involvement and support of these applications

* This position will troubleshoot, debug and support business applications as well as interpret business needs.

* You will be generating PDF from spool files on the AS400 and became the first point of contact for this software

* Experience with RPG III, RPG IV/ILE, RPG Free techniques (embedded SQL, modules, service programs and sub procedures)

* Experience in a similar role for a retail organisation is essential

Desirable:

* Microsoft Dynamics AX Applications

* Agile/Scrum development methodology, Object Oriented (OO) concepts and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
