Desktop Support / IT Support Analyst

Win7, AD/GP, to £340 p/d

Desktop Support Engineer / 2nd Line Support Analyst / IT Support Engineer: Windows 7, MS O365, Active Directory, Group Policy, MS Exchange, SCCM. 300 - 340 p/day. London, Contract, 3 months rolling.

Desktop Support Analyst / IT Support Analyst required by multi-national financial services corporation to assist in ongoing business as usual support tasks, for a user base of approx 1200, at the HQ based in London.

You will respond to 2nd line support issues by identifying problems, resolving them over the phone, via remote software support tools or at the desktop.

Support calls will relate to desktop technologies Win7 & Win8 (Laptops, PC`s, Macs, Mobile Devices including Samsung Android, Blackberry and iPhones) as well as basic server and network issues with Windows Server 2008r2/2012 Active Directory/Group Policy including user account creation and maintenance, MS Exchange 2010 and also MS Office 2013/O365 products.

You will support users of MS Office applications as well as managing basic network and wireless connections. Training will be provided but a personal interest and genuine understanding of a mix of these technologies will separate you from other candidates. Additionally you will be involved in the rollout of new PC environments, configuring, building and installing PC environment using Microsoft SCCM.

We are searching for a Desktop Support / 2nd Line Support Analyst / IT Support Engineer who has gained experience working in a similar role within a large, corporate environment within the financial services arena. You will be a self-motivated individual capable of adapting to new environments quickly and effectively.

Ideally you will have commercial experience combined with solid academic background and a mix of technical qualifications from: A+, MCP, CCNA, MCSE, MCITP etc.

You will have recent commercial experience of desktop support covering core desktop technologies Win7, MS Office 2013/365, printer networks, digital scanners, video conferencing equipment etc and mobile device (ideally Samsung Android and iPhone) support. You will be comfortable creating users in Active Directory/Group Policy and MS Exchange/O365. Additionally, you will have some exposure to SCCM 2007/2012.
