For our client located in Essen we are currently looking for a Business Analyst / Business Analytics

Start: middle of November

Duration: 3-6 Months

Location: Essen

Remote: 1 day per week

Language: Fluent English, German would be an advantage

Responsibilities

- Supporting the Senior Business Analyst through change from capture of business requirements, through technical development + delivery

- Supporting the planning and reporting processes through their monthly + quarterly cycles being the first point of contact for any technical query

- Work closely with operational, finance, sales and controlling teams from New Customer Solution (NCS) units across all regions to extract leading indicators and ensure consistent definition and data integrity across multiple source systems

- Identify undeveloped data and extract insights that will support controlling and business decisions

- Partner with business experts and product owner to build BI and leading indicators of operational benchmarks

- Ensure the use of a consistent data model between different functions, domain areas and regions

- Conduct trainings for colleagues and team members - Interpreting the technical delivery into business impact

- Producing training material + communications to support technical delivery

- Conduct system testing + support UAT through test plans and co-ordination of resource

Qualifications

- University degree in economics, engineering, information technologies or comparable studies or equivalent working experience

- Working experience in relevant areas, preferably in the energy sector with direct exposure to complex IT projects

- Advanced user of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Excel, BW/ BI and reporting tools would be an advantage (e.g. SAP FI)

- Analytical capacity and structured mode of operation

- Experience in reporting, controlling and IT operations

- Result-driven + problem solving skills

- Structured communication and presentation skills and intercultural competences

- Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset

- Experience in aligning business and IT through change management

- Fluent English, German would be an advantage

- Excellent verbal and written communication + moderation skills

- Persuasiveness, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

- Experience of working with Agile development methods and Design Thinking a plus
