Central London - Salary circa £80,000 - £100,000
My client, an established and innovative credit card business and whom is dedicated to helping their customers be better with credit, is currently going through a digital transformation journey, and is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to be responsible for the e2e design multi-platform solutions covering card, loans products and future business innovation.
As a Solutions Architect you will support the team by influencing business aims and objectives through consultancy based on technology domain and delivery practice knowledge (the art of the possible, and technical feasibility), as well as defining application and platform design for internal, external and cloud hosted projects.
In order to make an effective contribution, you will have meet the following essential criteria:
- Highly experienced on multi-platform solutions architecture
- Digital Solutions
- Financial services application security
- Linux / Unix / Windows / Mainframe
- Visio or equivalent
- Data analysis
- Web services (HTTP(S) protocols, XML, JSON)
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Financial services background
- Encryption and authentication concepts
- Codepages and data translation concepts
- Batch and online transaction processing
- Networking concepts including DNS
Desirable:
- Credit card or retail banking/retail finance background
- TOGAF certified
- Cloud experience on Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms (service fabric, cloud app)
- Experience working with First Data, TSys or Experian
- Understanding of MPLS/VPLS networks
- Highly transactional and multithreaded application design
- Working in an Agile SDLC
