Quant Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, Quant Researcher, Quantitative Researcher, FX, FX Quant

A forward-thinking macro hedge fund is looking for a quant researcher to join their FX quant research strategies team based in London.

Working as a quant researcher you'll play an integral role in building the firm's quant library and conducting creative research functions to improve FX strategies. Additionally, you'll be exposed to cutting-edge technology and the opportunity to create and implement models from scratch.

Quant researcher Responsibilities:

* Developing and building upon the quant analytics library

* Creating and implementing models from scratch for FX business functions

* Liaising with front office personnel

* Involvement with the visualisation infrastructure and data acquisition

Essential Requirements:

* Strong academic background in computational or quantitative discipline (e.g. Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Applied Engineering, Physics)

* Commercial experience with one or all of the following; C#, C++ and JAVA

* Experience in local volatility surface modelling

* Knowledge of stochastic calculus

Desired Requirements:

* An innovative approach to solving complex problems

* Experience and/or exposure to FX business components

* Passion for data and complex coding
