E2E Programme Manager required for a 3-6 month initial contract based in Osterley

Must be willing to travel on a regular basis across UK

Key responsibilities

Programme Delivery

To manage the designated programme through all relevant stages of its lifecycle from initiation through to closure and post implementation review by applying appropriate formal programme management methods including exec level stakeholder management, risk and issue management, scope control and programme monitoring. This will include some or all of the following depending upon the nature, size and composition of the programme:

For each designated programme (as defined and agreed between Technology and the Business):

* To initiate and manage the production of initiation documents for the proposed programme, and to facilitate expert end to end input to the process, co-ordinating relevant input from across the organisation to do so.

* To prepare a detailed forecast of all the programme related costs, liaising with all required parties to gather the most accurate estimates possible and commitment on agreed spend.

* To input to the prioritisation of the programme within the overall roadmap of work for Sky.

* To work with the relevant functions to specify the resource requirements for each stage of the programme and ensure these can be provided from an end to end perspective.

* To ensure a detailed programme plan is developed and maintained, identifying key milestones, tasks, priorities, dependencies and responsibilities.

* To work across the organisation to define and quantify the Business Case for the proposed programme.

* Understanding the main levers and sensitivities within the business case and ensuring that these are managed.

* Ensuring adequate measures are available to track success.

* To closely manage and monitor the programme finances throughout the lifecycle of the project, working closely with the finance group in order to report regularly on the actual expenditure against forecast.

* To ensure that business deliverables are appropriate to business requirements in terms of quality cost and time-scale.

* To manage the selection of 3rd party services that may be required to deliver a programme, working with the appropriate teams.

* To identify, manage and review risks, including those associated with interdependencies between programmes, and take actions to ensure that risks are managed down.

* To develop and sustain relationships with the Programme Management Office, relevant Business Managers and other stakeholders to provide regular reviews of progress against milestones to the business and Technology management as appropriate.

* To work closely with the Head of Delivery, and the Business directly, to review the level of benefits realisation of the programme, undertake post closure programme reviews, capturing and sharing lessons learned.

Stakeholder Management

* To work closely with the programme sponsor to realise the vision and challenge thinking where required

* To provide Exec level updates where required

* Ensuring the operational teams are comfortable with the likely end result and there are no unintended consequences

* To motivate the programme team and to manage any conflicts and issues that arise during the delivery

* Ensuring that the Programme Governance is optimised
