Job Title - Automated Tester

Location - Centurion

Employment type - Permanent

Salary - R375k per annum up to R450k (higher for the right candidate)

The Opportunity

An exciting Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester role has become available for a leading organisation in Centurion. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible assists with planning, developing and executing quality assurance and application testing. The QA will work closely with project teams to ensure that the quality assurance process is executed and that all applications receive a satisfactory level of testing.

We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic individual who would like to further their professional career, work as part of a team, learn new technologies and gain insight into the financial industry.

Responsibilities

* Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.

* Document and execute software test plans.

* Assist in revision of software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.

* Analyze requirements and document test cases on both new and established products.

* Testing throughout the development lifecycle, including:

* Unit Testing

* Integration Testing

* Functional Testing

* Back office integration testing

* Regression Testing

* Design and execute test cases using Rational Quality Manager.

* Working with Products RTGS, CLEAR and CSD.

* Document test results.

* Execute testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or defect retests, and/or usability.

* Document defect logs to assist in debugging and modification of software.

* Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.

* Consult with developers in resolution of problems.

* Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.

* Document software defects, using a defect tracking system, and report defects to software developers.

* Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.

* Monitor defect resolution efforts and track successes.

* Execute test schedules in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

* Demonstrate functionality as per user acceptance criteria in sprint demo's.

* Identify test cases to be automated for regression purpose.

* Analyze and document test standards and procedures.

Salary depends on experience but is always competitive plus an annual bonus tied to your performance and also the company's performance.
