The Consultant role is a key client facing role working primarily on the delivery of Dynamics AX solutions to customers. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysing customer requirements; demonstrating and training in Dynamics AX, conducting client workshops, documenting customer requirements, designing Dynamics AX modifications, testing of software, and on-going customer support.
Qualifications & Knowledge
You will have a good educational background, ideally up to a degree level, or equivalent, in a related subject. As this is a senior finance role candidates will ideally come from a finance background and have moved in to consulting during their career. Expect qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge in the Dynamics AX product:
Essential
One or more of the following:
* Dynamics AX Financials I & II
* Dynamics AX Trade & Logistics I & II
Desirable
* Dynamics AX Warehousing
* Dynamics AX Service Management
Technical Skills
You will have a solid and thorough understanding of Microsoft Office and a good awareness of the technical components of the Dynamics AX environment:
Essential
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
Desirable
* Familiarity with Dynamics AX development environment
* Familiarity and experience with Business Intelligence tools such as SQL Reporting Services and Business Analytics would also be advantageous
Experience
Candidates should have previous Dynamics AX consulting experience at version 4.0 or later. Experience to include working in a team with other consultants and developers to deliver Dynamics AX implementations
Essential
* History of Dynamics AX consulting within ERP implementation. Can discuss roles, challenges and achievements of these in interview
* Participation in multiple Dynamics AX ERP implementations
Desirable
* Understanding or knowledge of retail ERP solutions would be an advantage
Personal Skills
You will possess the skills necessary to work in a team environment with other consultants, developers and project managers. Require excellent problem solving and communication skills along with good analytical skills and the ability to understand requirements and convert into relevant design documentation

* Self-motivated and driven to achieve professional success in a hybrid development/consulting environment
* Good team player as well as have the ability to work on your own initiative without supervision

Other
* Will involve extensive travel to office and client sites throughout the UK and may be required to spend periods of time working from client sites. Full driving licence is required.
