Job Title: Industry Data Analyst

Location: Bathgate

Salary: £20-25K

Job Type: Perm, Full-time

Working Hours: 40 hours a week

Purpose of the Role/Role Overview:

To support the Meter Asset Management department in ensuring data quality across the our Client's Business. Ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of data is passed through systems. In particular, ensuring industry data flows are exchanged in line with BSCP and commercial service levels.

To understand and analyse industry data issues and communicate to key stakeholders in the business.

General Duties/Key Responsibilities:

* Data Management

* Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to carry out a range of data analytical tasks

* Analyse data and interpret unusual patterns and possible causes

* Management Information and KPI production.

* Maintaining data integrity within internal systems and resolving data validation exceptions

* Liaising with 3rd Parties and internal stakeholders to resolve data integrity issues

* Production of Meter Operator and Meter asset rental files

* Reviewing and actioning industry data queries

* Responsible for the management of client data

* Act as a subject matter expert and share knowledge across the organisation

Person Specification:

* Working knowledge of energy industry operations, settlements and handling of data flows

* Strong technical/IT ability, in particular - Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills.

* Confident in the use of MS Access

Skills and Abilities:

* Strong analytical ability (essential)

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be proactive (essential)

* Good communication skills; able to communicate technical arguments to non-technical audiences

* Excellent numeracy skills with particular attention to speed, accuracy and attention to detail

* Excellent communication skills, telephone and written

Experience:

* Previous commercial experience, preferably within the Gas and Electricity Industry (desirable - not essential)

* Energy Industry knowledge of UK domestic energy and metering markets
