A leading global analytics software company are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their growing team and develop market-leading and innovative optimisation technologies used in the financial services industry. You will have the opportunity to work with a number of analytic innovations, software technologies and delivery teams as part of strategically important, highly visible initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Work with leads/management/architects to scope-out and define new product features.

- Clarification of requirements and planning.

- Design, implement, document and refine Java-based software solutions.

- Collaborate with product management, pre-sales and professional services to refine requirements, validate design and translate into enterprise-ready, scalable solution implementation plans.

- Maintain knowledge of other technologies and products.

Essential Skills:

- 5+ years of industry experience building and delivering high-performance enterprise software in Java

- REST/SOAP Web services

- Linux/Unix

- Implementation of automated tests and continuous integration

- Agile

Desirable Skills (Can all be taught on the job):

- Spark or other data processing languages, techniques and big data frameworks

- Spring

- AngularJS or other JavaScript frameworks

- Microservices, SOA frameworks

- Amazon AWS

- Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce

- SQL, NoSQL
