Junior Automation Engineer / Developer in Test

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Automation Engineer / Developer in Test to join a creative financial software company in London.

The Company:

This company creates innovative software for the financial services industry, and they are a market leader in web trading technology. They have a positive, rewarding working environment and their offices are based in the City, near Liverpool Street station in London. This Software Developer in Test position has arisen within their agile technical team of technical testers and developers.

The Job:

As a Junior Automation Engineer / Developer in Test, you'll work alongside developers and testers to develop effective automated tests and test frameworks to support the company's web applications. You'll be expected to write top quality code, and get involved in functional and non-functional testing. You'll use a wide range of tools and technologies, including (but not limited to) Java, JavaScript, Junit, WebDriver, and JBehave.

Who They're Looking For:

This role would suit candidates from one of the following backgrounds:

* 1-3 years' experience working as a Developer in Test / SDET / Automation Tester with good development skills (ideally java/javascript, C/C++, etc.)

* 1-3 years' experience working as a Software Developer with some exposure to testing, with an interest in moving into a test focused role

You should be technically strong, enthusiastic, willing to learn, and keen to work for a company where you can work your way up and make a name for yourself. This role would be ideally suited to a graduate with at least 1-2+ years' experience who is now looking for their second job.
