Halifax, West Yorkshire

Our client is a global provider of technology systems and solutions across the entire insurance industry. They provide core technology solutions, distribution and trading capability, advanced analytics and solution delivery.

Their team is growing, so our client is on the lookout for a talented Web Developer to join their Operations Team, based at their Halifax office.

The purpose of the Web Developer will be -

To contribute to the programming output of the team by developing and testing standard modules or making amendments to more complex modules.

Our client would like to meet a Web Developer with experience in the following -

- AJAX

- Bootstrap

- SQL 2008 (Experience in Oracle would be desirable)

- HTML

- CSS

- JavaScript

- Unit Testing

The Web Developer responsibilities include -

The Web Developer will apply data analysis, data modelling, and quality assurance techniques, based upon a detailed understanding of business processes, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and associated components.

As a Web Developer, you will specify user/system interfaces, and translate logical designs into physical designs, taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems. You will produce detailed designs and document all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.

You will be designing, coding, testing, and documenting moderately complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools. You’ll also conduct reviews of supplied specifications, with others as appropriate.

You will be identifying and resolving issues with applications, following agreed procedures. Using application management software and tools, you will collect agreed performance statistics. Additionally, you will carry out agreed application maintenance tasks.
