Azure DevOps Engineer

Working alongside a globally known Microsoft Gold Partner you are required to be on site with the end cklient 3 days a week. You will need to be a good team player and able to to lead when asked upon.

Skills General

- Can work as part of a team - geographically dispersed

- Understand the needs of operations

- Understands basic development and test, build, and deployment processes

- Can take part in the design and build part, rather than just ops

- Multi data centre, resilience and HA approaches

- Ability to troubleshoot issues in a logical manner

Specific Skills

- Azure IaaS and PaaS knowledge

- ARM templates

- App Insights and OMS

- PowerShell

- SQL querying skills

- VSTS setup and use - creating projects, releases, deployments

- General release management processes and tools

Specific PaaS Services

- App services and Kudu

- VMs and clusters

- Vnets and VPNs, NSGs

- SQL database

- Service bus

- App Insights

- Active directory

- Key vault

- Automation and runbooks

- Traffic manager

- OMS/app analytics

- App Service Environments

Optional Skills

- Coding in VS C# - health check endpoints, events, performance counters, exception handling

- SQL database design

- Deployment patterns for web apps etc.

- Azure Data Factory would be handy

- Azure Search

- Load testing in VS

- Redis Cache

- Jenkins server

- Can create Azure automation runbooks

- WAFs

- General secure approaches to DevOps
