Job Title: Technical Support / Services Consultant - Matrix NBT.

Location: Manchester with occasional UK & international travel with overnight stays (as required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide support to clients and in-house staff with respect to our solutions both over the phone and via email/case management system. Where necessary, escalate the issue and manage the resolution and provide updates to customer until the matter is resolved.

* Interpreting specifications of requirements, such that the solution can be adequately supported.

* Configuration, installation and testing of software solutions as per client requirements.

* Liaison with clients, their partners and third party providers, if required.

* Provide out of hours technical and infrastructure support on a rota basis.

* Ability to provide training to software users as required.

Role Performance Indicators:

* Supporting existing systems, new implementation projects and support duties.

* Management of customer relationships to ensure timely resolutions are provided.

* Provide an exceptional level of technical support complete with supporting documentation.

* Excellent at managing multiple support cases with exceptional attention to detail.

* Attain customer sign-off post case closure.

* Keep colleagues and line manager fully informed of successes, risks and potential delays.

Skills and Experience:

* In-depth knowledge of XML and XSLT and the ability to undertake the development of data translation mappings.

* Experience working with MS SQL Server Management Studio.

* Experience of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems.

* Experience of Linux operating systems.

* Experience using Microsoft Office.

Advantageous Skills:

* Knowledge of commonly used global Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards such as Tradacoms, EDIFact, ANSI X12, GS1 XML etc.

* Understanding of e-business connectivity and EDI transport protocols (such as VAN, FTP, AS2 etc).

* Understanding of retail supply chain processes.

* Experience of ITIL or CompTIA A+ (or similar) would be beneficial.

* Experience of out of hours technical and infrastructure support on a rota basis.

* Experience and understanding of data analysis and translation.

* Excellent listening, written and verbal communications.

* Self-motivated, positive personality, team player.

* Well organised with good time management skills and committed to achieving targets.

* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

* Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders at various levels.
