Lead or Senior QA Tester: Birmingham: Flexible Working £38k-£50k+

One of the UKs largest management companies is now looking for a Lead QA Tester to join an established development team based in Birmingham City Centre.

The role:

The successful candidate will be involved with a range of exciting company projects and will work as part of an established development team. Candidates will work as part of the software development team which is based in Birmingham City Centre; however they do also have other sites dotted across the UK. The IT teams include: Solution Architects, Developers, Testers, Service Desk plus other stakeholders.

The QA Testers will be focussed on managing the delivery of software across the business. Candidates will be involved with creating and maintain functional and non functional tests for manual and automation.

Responsible

The successful candidate will be involved with:

Inputting to different test approaches and working closely with other members of the IT team

Supporting programme managers in defining entry and exit criteria to appropriate test phases

Provide relevant recommendations where relevant

Analyse relevant test results

Conduct test reviews

Create and maintain automation test libraries

Logging and tracking relevant defects

Working with a variety of IT stakeholders including: Developers and Architects.

Key skills & experience:

*An understanding of QA testing

*Experience in either Waterfall or Agile methodologies

*An understanding of defect management tools

*An understanding of Automotive Testing or Load Testing

*An understanding of Selenium or Selenium Web Driver, or any other automated tools

*Strong communication skills

Other desirable skills include

*JMETER

*SQL

*SOAP, Rest or JSON

*Apache Tomcat

These skills are desirable. Any mentoring experience or management experience would be highly desirable.
