Business Applications Analyst, London, £50000 - £55000

Purpose:

Key role in supporting and maintaining in-house business applications including Dynamics AX and internal system integrations.

Main duties:

* Manage own workload to ensure successful completion of all tasks regarding applications including support, troubleshooting, triage, escalation and so on.

* Be an expert in many of the internal technologies in used particularly with MS Dynamics AX/ ERP. Bring experience around these systems including integration between applications as diverse as WMS, ERP, CRM, reporting and so on.

* Provide root cause analysis on on-going issues, implementing fixes where required.

* Exposure to and knowledge of a variety of scripting and applications languages such as C#, X++, transact SQL, VB and so on.

* Able to produce attractive, accurate and useful reports automatically using these and other skills

* Organise, standardise and "procedurealise" common IT tasks to a level where more junior IT administrators can support IT activities and respond to incidents outside of office hours and on a global basis

* Manage incidents, changes and support project implementations sometimes at unsociable hours

* Foster a culture of quality, documentation, planning and communication

* Build strong working relationships between IT, stakeholders and business needs as appropriate

Required experience:

* Substantial knowledge of interface methods (DIXF), scripts, polling, automation and scheduling (batch jobs)

* Gravitas & presence. Able to articulate requirements and influence others,

* Excellent writing and documentation skills. Writes detailed, well thought out, logical and well-presented documentation suitable for consumption by all in a professional organisation,

* Excellent oral and presentation skills,

* Always puts Quality first and can consistently deliver quality results even when under pressure

* Significant hands on technical experience across Dynamics AX

* Not afraid to accept responsibility

* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
