Salary: EUR65,000

Summary of the company

A market-leading client, who focus on building SaaS applications for the insurance market based on risk analysis. You will be working in a brand new office in the heart of Dublin City where there is a brand new pool table and you will join 3 other Test Engineers who are already well on the team. The QA team in Ireland is going to grow to a total five engineers in the coming weeks as they look to combat the growth in development where they now have 23 developers and they want to bring the dev to test ration closer to 5:1.

You will have the opportunity to work within a top class environment, focused on some of the newest and leading technologies in the market such as big data, cucumber and other technologies. As Senior Quality Automation Test Engineer, you will join a global automation team of eight Engineers.

You will be the first Senior Quality Automation Test Engineer in the EU as they look to scale the team. You will start by understanding the companies GIS, writing test plans and test cases in an agile environment. Right now, they are migrating to Big Data. Additional you will be exposed to customer facing portals and back end processes.

Role/ Responsibilities:

As Senior Quality Automation Test Engineer, you will work closely with the QA team to develop and build high quality software components with Java. You will be involved with extending, Developing and improving the company's Automation testing framework and the current regression-testing suite with selenium as the core-testing tool. The Senior Quality Automation Test Engineer will create automation test cases and implement these into the test plans to improve the overall quality of the product. You will be part of a small but very talented QA team who will work closely together alongside developers ensuring that the quality of the product is improved.

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with open source QA Automation Testing tools such as selenium, QTP and Cucumber with good QA processes, experience testing front and backend technologies and having knowledge of aspects of the development test life cycle. The Senior Quality Automation Test Engineer will have previous Java or Python experience and strong SQL skills. Performance testing experience with Jmeter or LoadRunner are strongly desired.
